AYURVEDA & EYE CARE
Updated: Jan 2
Eyes are our window to the soul both from an intrinsic and extrinsic point of view. They are an important sensory organ to nourish and maintain as much as possible.
Ayurveda has multiple strategies, therapies and medicines to address eye health - everything from itchy eyes, dry eyes, eye infections, degenerative disorders and eye trauma or injury. We offer these effective treatments at The Sattva Centre, so please express your interest in establishing a plan for your eye care.
Here is a little remedy for irritated, bloodshot and tired eyes that works a treat, my coriander seed tea recipe. Make this, allow it to cool, strain and wash the eyes gently a least two times a day until symptoms subside. Coriander is cool and sweet in property, making it a beautiful tonic for Pitta aggravated eyes. For eye infections, please seek the further advice of your Ayurvedic practitioner.
