SIMPLE CINNAMON TOAST

In the heart of Autumn and Winter, this is such a delightful little snack or breakfast that soothes the Vata and Kapha dosha. Warming cinnamon aids in creating positive circulation in the body, treating colds, coughs and congestion as well as being an effective herb for boosting slow and sluggish digestion. The ghee or your chosen oil supports lubrication of the body and your Ojas or immunity - for very high Kapha or infection, please omit the oil. The dry nature of toast however, is very balancing for Kapha and please experiment with the delicious breads available to suit your individual constitution.



WHAT YOU WILL NEED


1 serve (2 pieces of toast)

  • 2 pieces of your chosen bread

  • Ghee or your chosen oil (coconut works well)

  • Some coconut sugar

  • Cinnamon powder



METHOD


  1. Lightly toast your bread and while still hot, spread a thin layer of ghee or oil, a pinch of coconut sugar and cinnamon powder over the toast.

  2. Serve immediately with a nice cup of tea and enjoy!
