Our little one Nya is a beautiful, flourishing little Kapha soul. At only 8 weeks old, it seems she is growing by the second. Her little neck, arms and legs have developed the most cute rolls but this can be a challenge to manage in the Summer heat. The hard-to-wash skin between rolls can become irritated, sore and red if left unattended.
Using Ayurvedic principles of cool, soothing and sweet products I have developed and used this little recipe to keep bubba’s skin happy and healthy.
WHAT TO DO
Take a soft little cloth and run under some warm/tepid water.
Spray or apply some soothing rose water to the cloth and gently wash in between the skin folds of your little one.
If warm enough, allow your baby to be clothes and nappy free for a bit so the skin can dry well. If your little one suffers from dry skin too you can apply a small amount of ghee to the dry spots after the rose water wash.
I think your little one will not only enjoy this little treatment but the bonding time they get with you. We have plenty of beautiful, high quality Rose Water in the clinic if you are looking for some to trial at home. Makes a wonderful toner for adult skin also!
