ABHYANGA

Abhyanga is a full body medicated oil massage.

This therapeutic and nourishing massage is effective for

a wide range of health conditions. Using traditional Ayurvedic techniques, it has great benefits for health conditions such as arthritis, muscle wasting, circulatory conditions, recovering for illness and surgery, joint pain and skin conditions. It is highly nourishing for the holistic body and is well known as an effective anti-ageing therapy.

UDWARTHANA

Udwarthana is a full body dry medicated powder or paste massage, using a specific Ayurvedic technique that incorporates long, quick brushing strokes. Medicated powders and pastes are chosen to suit your current health needs, with the massage working toward the heart. Udwarthana massage alleviates lymphatic stagnation, heaviness, lethargy, oedema, depression, poor circulation and it improves skin tone and colour. It is an invigorating, rejuvenating treatment which is also beneficial for those clients who are wishing to lose excess body fat.

MARMA

Marma's are trigger points, and are much like the acupuncture or trigger points of traditional Chinese medicine. Pressure is applied to these significant meeting points of energy and are used to stimulate internal organs and systems of the body.

INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE

The head and brain is the centre of the nervous system, which makes this treatment provide nourishment to all the vital organs and helps promote normal functioning of the whole body system. Head massage can alleviate headaches, insomnia, baldness and premature greying of the hair.

BABY & PREGNANCY/ POST-NATAL MASSAGE

Pre and post-natal care of both mother and baby is a critical component of Ayurvedic medicine. In conjunction with other treatments, pregnancy/post-natal and baby massage is a nourishing oil therapy similar to an Abhyanga massage that assists both mum and baby to bond, recover and flourish.

BOLUS MASSAGE

SHIRODHARA

ShiroDhara is a relaxing and therapeutic treatment where a stream of medicated liquid is continuously poured over the client’s forehead. This treatment can help to reduce ama (toxins) and heaviness in the body and is an excellent treatment for hormonal imbalances, stress, fatigue, headache, giddiness and various diseases of the ear, nose and eyes, with particular focus on the nervous system.

Following a personal consultation the appropriate type of treatment will be chosen once the client’s current state of Vikriti (imbalance) has been established. Various shirodhara treatments include:

VASTI

Vasti is a treatment which is targeted to a specific part of the body. Using ancient Ayurvedic techniques, a case is formed using dough and placed on the specific area of the body. Warm medicated oil is then poured into the case and regularly changed throughout the treatment to maintain a regular temperature. This highly effective treatment helps to relieve pain, heal injury, correct digestive function, treat a large number of various disorders and has anti-aging benefits.

NASYA

Nasya is a medicated nasal drop treatment. This simple yet highly effective detox treatment of applying a small number of medicated oil drops to the nose can be used for a range of conditions including allergies, respiratory disorders and conditions related to the nervous system which affect the head, neck, shoulders and upper limbs. Nasya is also used for thyroid and hormonal conditions, jaw clenching, vertigo, tinnitus and related conditions, bad breath, headaches and nasal congestion.

KARNA PURANA

Karna Purana is a medicated ear drop treatment, applied through the gentle application of warm medicated oil into the ear canal. This treatment can alleviate conditions of the ear which include ear ache, deafness, and tinnitus. Conditions such as headache, locked jaw and vertigo can also be treated.

LEPA

Lepa is an application of herbal pastes, which are a soothing, relaxing, anti-aging and rejuvenating way of improving your skin tone and colour. These paste treatments can be applied as a face mask (Mukhalepa) for beauty therapy and skin conditions or on any part of the body to relieve muscle soreness, heal injury and prevent degeneration. In addition, lepa is a highly effective treatment for both acute and chronic skin conditions such as psoriasis, eczema, inflammation, wounds and bites.
